Haydn's Sonata No.43 is slightly unusual in that it has no slow movement, although it certainly has plenty of contemplative moments. On the other hand, Haydn's inventiveness in modulating a theme is quite obvious. In order to fit the score on 10 pages I used tremolos where possible and some additional repeats; they would be unusual in a proper score. It took me a while to figure out how to use MOZART's redirection instructions (dal segno al coda) when the coda has a different time signature (2/4) than the segno part (3/4). I am not quite sure whether I transcribed all "small notes" properly as grace notes (acciaccatura) or appogiatura - my musical knowledge of this period is not sufficient. The distinction between staccato and accent is not very clear in the "pocket" score and I probably got a few wrong. If you listen to the MOZART rendition -or directly to the MIDI file- please consider that it is nowhere near the performance of even a modestly gifted pianist.
