The collection of twenty pieces from Köchel Verzeichnis (K.V.) 1-15 is based on Albert Edition 516, 1979, edited by Warren Thomson. Quoth: "The student will find that these charming pieces provide an introduction to the keyboard music of the Viennese Classical Period and to the sonatinas and sonatas of Mozart in particular." Most pieces use simply a piano as instrument. I hope that the use of other instruments follows in an obvious way from the nature of the respective composition. K.V.1 Menuett is in the traditional A-B-A form, where A consists of A-A' and b of B-B'. It is a bit unusual in how close A and B are re- lated. Using strings gives the piece a bit more body, in my opinion. Enjoy! Michael Bednarek mailto:mb@tgm.com.au http://www.geocities.com/mcmbednarek/
