The collection of twenty pieces from Köchel Verzeichnis (K.V.) 1-15 is based on Albert Edition 516, 1979, edited by Warren Thomson. Quoth: "The student will find that these charming pieces provide an introduction to the keyboard music of the Viennese Classical Period and to the sonatinas and sonatas of Mozart in particular." There is also a very thorough write-up at the Naxos (God bless 'em) site: and here: . The title of this collection in English is The London (Chelsea) Notebook or sometimes -better- Sketchbook; the German title is usually Londoner Skizzenbuch, 43 Stücke für Cembalo. Some of the pieces are fragments or unfinished. The MIDI Cembalo voice in the soundfont I use (Merlin GM Pro V6.0) is not very good, so I used mainly Grand Piano instead. I hope that the use of other instruments follows in an obvious way from the nature of the respective composition. K.V.15mm is a very short and simple piece; however, the repeat of the first part contains a second ending and is played piano, so repeat signs can not be used. On the other hand, the final run of the main theme is identical to its second repeat, so MOZART's D.S. al fine can be used. To fill the page, a much larger font size has been used.
