The collection of twenty pieces from Köchel Verzeichnis (K.V.) 1-15 is based on Albert Edition 516, 1979, edited by Warren Thomson. Quoth: "The student will find that these charming pieces provide an introduction to the keyboard music of the Viennese Classical Period and to the sonatinas and sonatas of Mozart in particular." Most pieces use simply a piano as instrument. I hope that the use of other instruments follows in an obvious way from the nature of the respective composition. K.V.7 is a very simple Menuetto with only one real theme, and that is not particularly well developed. The work is listed as "Sonata in D for Keyboard and Violin" in the list of Mozart's works at the Mozart Project (www.mozartproject.org), so this Menuetto is most probably just one part of a larger work. The same applies to K.V.8. Enjoy! Michael Bednarek mailto:mb@tgm.com.au http://www.geocities.com/mcmbednarek/
