John Philip Sousa's march "Liberty Bell" (1893) is probably better knwon as the theme music for Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969?). And how appropriate of the Python team to pick a march written in 6/8 - there can't be too many of those. This is from the same source as Fucik's Gladiators, and as I wrote there, the piano version gives you an indication of the piece, but it's nowhere near as full-blooded as a proper brass arrangement. I think this will conclude my brief excursion into the realm of popular marches; there are plenty of versions on the Internet, both as scores and as sound files. Michael Bednarek http://mbednarek.com/
