I bought this score book at a Book Fair in Brisbane for 50 cents. Most of its titles are not really my cup of tea, but its arrangement of "La Marseillaise" has a rather strange feel to it: it's like the author (John F. Martin) couldn't quite make up his mind. In parts it is heroic, in others it's quite delicate. It is more than just a simple arrangement (for piano originally), but almost a suite. I really bought the booklet because of the incredible care the previous (original?) owner had taken to preserve it: each page was in in its own clear plastic protective cover, and the binder had exactly 20 of those to fit the whole original. The appearance of the book suggest it was originally published in the 1930s. Enjoy! Michael Bednarek http://mcmbednarek.tripod.com/
